Big 6

The Project Big 6 Unit Planner was very helpful. I found 5 units that I found interesting enough to print. I found one on students planning an ideal community that could go along with The Giver or The Girl Who Owned a City. An 8th grade math lesson for a special ed class. One with students planning what they want to learn, and one that I could tie into the unit I did with The Outsiders.
I will definitly go back to that site. Great to have work done for you :)

del.cio.us

Well, I like del.cio.us much better than blogging. To answer your question Steve, No, I never wrote in a diary. I was taught very early on. If you don't want someone to know, don't write it down. :) On the other hand, in teaching I have to write everything down. :)
Del.cio.us I would don't mind sharing though :)

Power Point

I really liked playing with Power Point. Now I might be able to help the kids. :)
Thank You

sites

Thank you again for helping me get to the blogging. I guess I can see how kids would like it. They tend to get this stuff before I do.
I do like the new "search" sites you showed us. I think I will have the kids only use the library site and Manervia. Then I will know they will be good sites.
Thank you

March 26

Hi Steve and Connie,
Again, thank you for a good class. I still have a hard time with knowing if a website is reliable or not, but I am getting better with your help. I still however, do not like this blogging thing. I need help every time getting on, and there is no spell check.
Thanks for teaching the class :)

session 2

There is so much information on the Big 6 site. I really have to get internet at home so I don't have to live here. :) I have to start thinking of the big picture vs. assignments.
Thanks
Lisa
